Temporal bone rule 17 : Facial schwannoma

When you find a lesion in the area of geniculate ganglia
look to other sites of the facial nerve as facial recess and vertical part as
facial schwannoma could be multiple.

Look to the lesion, it is going horizontally then vertically, this course is a sure sign of facial schwannoma and not acoustic one.
